Match Report Press Report

Trojans Troupers Lost to Abshot Armatures.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 2 string should have been the closest, with only 35 ranking points separating the two players before the match. Home advantage prevailed though, with Alan Newman winning through.

It was the number 4 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 66 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Doubles String 1 & 2.

Player of the match must be the Away number 1 string, Philip Laurenson, who over-turned a 65 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.
